How do you specify and implement one of the world’s most modern warehouses for emergency suppliers to the human disasters around the world?

In connection with the establishment of the new UN city the original UNICEF warehouse had to move. With By & Havn as the client, Logio managed the project safely all the way through pre-analysis, conceptual design, detailed requirements specification, EU tendering, contracting and implementation.

The result is a highly automated global warehouse and distribution centre located in Copenhagen. The warehouse is a combination of a high-bay pallet storage solution, a monorail system moving the goods around and a comprehensive semi automatic production system. The solution enables UNICEF to produce and prepare emergency kits of many kinds with short leadtime.
